What hemp products does Fyonli sell?

Fyonli’s Hemp & Botanical Blends range uses food-grade hemp seed (bhang ke beej), which has been part of Garhwali and Kumaoni cooking for generations. It currently has two products:

  • Hemp Seed Chutney Premix — slow-roasted hemp seeds with sesame, bhangjeera (perilla), red chilli, cumin and rock salt. Mix with a little warm water for traditional bhang ki chutney. 150 g.
  • Himalayan Hemp Protein — hemp seed powder (60%) with pumpkin seed, almond, date, cinnamon and cardamom; 22 g plant protein per 100 g. Contains tree nuts (almond). 150 g.

Is hemp seed legal and non-psychoactive?

Yes. Hemp seeds are not psychoactive and contain at most trace amounts of THC. FSSAI’s 2021 hemp seed food standards permit hemp seed, hemp seed oil and hemp seed flour as foods in India.

How do you use hemp seed chutney?

Combine 2–3 tablespoons of the premix with 3–4 tablespoons of warm water, rest for 2 minutes and serve with roti, rice or dal. For a thicker paste, grind it with garlic and lemon juice. Our hemp seed chutney recipe covers the traditional method, and hemp protein vs whey compares the two protein sources.

Do you sell plain hemp seeds?

Not at the moment; hemp seed is available in the chutney premix and the protein blend above.
